Bill Evans - Sunday At The Village Vanguard (2026 Reissue) Bill Evans
Limited edition classic LP, reissued on 180g vinyl + 1 bonus track, audiophile pressing
Bill Evans Trio - Sunday At The Village Vanguard, a classic album that needs little or no introduction. A perennial best seller since its release in 1961, routinely ranked as one of the best live jazz recordings of all time, and a benchmark of inspiration and study to countless other piano trios to this day. No jazz collection is complete without it.
Includes the bonus track 'Jade Visions' (alternate take) from the same session but not included on the original LP.
"All the Vanguard music is informed by an extra sense of discovery, as ifthe musicians were suddenly aware of what they were on to and werecelebrating the achievement. This is music which continues to provokemarvel and endless study." - ***** Richard Cook & Brian Morton, The Penguin Guide To Jazz
"This trio is still widely regarded as Evans' finest, largely because of the symbiotic interplay between its members. Tragically, LaFaro was killed in an automobile accident ten days after this session was recorded. This is a great place to begin with Evans." - *****Thom Jurek, All Music
