Record Store Day (and the "vinyl revival" in general) has somewhat become a victim of it's own success in recent years, as pressing plants struggle to meet deadlines of when titles will be manufactured and available for us all to enjoy. Hence the need for a second "drop" for RSD titles this year - the stragglers that couldn't make the original date are rounded up and offered up for this second "June Drop" on Saturday 18th June.

The article below should answer almost any question you could have regarding this – please read and understand this in full before calling the shop to ask us questions, as we’re extremely busy, and your queries will almost definitely be answered below.

We’ll publish a complete stock list of what titles we have in the shop with prices, quantities, etc the day before (mid-afternoon / early evening on Friday 17th June). This way you can make an informed decision regarding when to start queuing based on what we have available.

For now you can browse all the titles we expect to be stocking in our online shop (but obviously you can't buy them there yet), but be aware that all of this info (especially prices) are subject to change until the day before RSD itself.

Please be aware that (as with many Drop 1 titles being delayed until Drop 2), a lot of these titles will probably end up being delayed until RSD Black Friday in November (several already have). This is out of our control and affects every UK shop (not just us) - we'll aim to have our online shop's listings as accurate as possible in the days leading up to Saturday 18th, so if something you want appears to have disappeared from our listings, it's probably been delayed until November (or scrapped altogether).

Standard RSD rules apply – no pre-orders, reservations, or phone sales on any limited edition RSD stock are permitted. Physical, in-person, over-the-counter sales only for the first few days (online sales begin at 8pm on Monday 20th June). You can only buy 1 of any given title (but buy as many different titles as you want).

This time the cafe AND the record shop will both open at 9am. We don't anticipate anywhere near as big a queue as usual, due to the relatively small amount of titles being released on the day. If enough people are queuing to make it worth while, we'll issue numbered tickets (like we normally do for RSD) and serve you in the order you started queueing outside.

Please be aware that RSD products won’t be physically browse-able in the racks, so you’ll need to know what you intend to buy before coming downstairs. We’ll have lists available on the day, but would encourage you to browse our website for product information in advance of this.
Don’t be the fool who accidentally looks at the American RSD website! Different products are only available in different territories: “.co.uk” (NOT “.com”) is correct for this region.
