We're impressed! This year's limited edition Record Store Day UK turntable is essentially a Rega RP3 for the price of an RP1. And they're signed by all sorts of great artists! As usual, if you're interested in one of these you'll need to pay a deposit of £100 to us now, then pay the rest on collection (on or around Record Store Day itself). These won't be available to buy on the day unless you let us know you want one so we can order them in specifically! Here's what they have to say about it: Record Store Day UK is excited to reveal this year’s limited edition Rega Research turntable. Specifically created for Record Store Day’s 10^th birthday, the turntable is a one-off Rega Planar 1 and RP3 hybrid and will be available only from independent record shops and Rega stockists on the 22^nd April. And to commemorate our birthday celebrations we have got 10 of our favourite artists to sign multiple decks. These will be allocated to shops across the UK at random and customers can find out on purchase if they’ve become the owner of one of the very limited and sought-after signed turntables. So we are proud to reveal our turntables signatories include: Elbow Jarvis Cocker Kasabian Kate Nash Noel Gallagher Peter Hook Placebo Public Service Broadcasting Slaves The Pretty Things Paul Darwin, UK Sales Director at Rega Research said, “Again it is a privilege for Rega Research to be involved with Record Store Day and to contribute to the future viability of bricks and mortar record stores for us dedicated crate diggers and music fans alike.” Despite the enhanced specification, this limited edition turntable will retail for around £250 - considerably less than the RP3 retail price of £450.
