We can't quiet believe we're saying this, but Record Store Day 2020 will now take place on Saturday 20th June, thanks to our new unwanted acquaintance coronavirus. ...and we thought we were sick of hearing about Brexit!
Here's the official statement from ERA:
Following on from many conversations with all international organisers of Record Store Day, the event will be postponed to Saturday June 20th This decision comes at a time of unprecedented uncertainty and the health and safety of the general public must come first This was absolutely not an easy decision to make as we know that hundreds of independent shops and labels have been working hard towards this year’s celebrations. Whilst we can’t guarantee we will be back to normal at this time, the government guidelines indicate the new date will be some time after the peak transmission period...does this at least mean we get Neil Young's Homegrown back on the list?
